Smile I am starting a new Rover 75 MGZT owners club

I think there are enough of us now, i think it's time for a break away club............ for members who have clutch probs atm as it seems to be a common problem atm

was thinking of calling the club "the R75-MGZT with dodgy clutch club"

hopefully i will get no other members
will it take off me think..... well not in my car.. stutter stutter :xmas-smiley-036:

Mick,it's only a clutch..They fail on every car and on the 1.8 it's a relatively easy job.

Take for instance a Renault Megane, clutch replacement in these cars are booked at 7.2 hours for replacement at a main dealer, now think of that cost.Andi Willi and John and also my assistance it had taken us the best part of six hours..The sub frame was removed, even the radiator..The car had only done 50K when it failed.

It made the complicated clutch renewal on a diesel look a doddle.

Anyway why start another club when you get all the best information and advice right here..

I'm up for it, you will be able to recognise us by our over-developed left arm & leg from all the effort of changing gear!

No difference in cost for mine or the wifes Mondeo diesel, Time and mileage roughly the same, Mondeo started vibrating due to the dual mass flywheel and the 75 had just gone stiff. The way folks moan about clutches on 75s and ZTs you would think that these were the only cars that ever needed a clutch replacement.

My first car was a Volvo 440 and I got through two clutches in a year. Replaced it with a Mazda which was fantastic and still going strong on its first clutch when I sold it at 130000 miles.
