![]() Hi folks I have searched for this but all seem to point to the light being on rather than not coming on at all when ignition is turned on. Anyone had this before, I got failed MOT on it (amongst other things).
Just to clarify the airbag light or seatbelt light does not come on when ignition is turned on? Assuming this may have something to do with the connections under the seat which I have cleaned already. |

![]() sorry to say this but if the car is new to you it may be somebody has " tampered" with your instrument panel to stop them from coming on.
You need to open it up and see if the leds have been covered with something to stop them lighting up ![]()

![]() Check to see if the light is actually working by enabling the OBD test here, & selecting "2" Someone may have disabled the led

![]() The airbag light will not come on with the IPK test mode, it only does it with the key in pos II
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDpUqaUYmi0 pound to a pinch if you remove the IPK the label will be split to say it has been opened and you will open it up to find a blob of silicone or similar in the aperture for the airbag light... found it many times... ![]()

these 2 are tested and the results sent to the ipk by 2 separate modules, so you have issues that only a T4 can pinpoint if one or both of these modules are faulty.
