Thrust Angle
A discussion about tracking has raised a query I'd like to understand better.
I know what the Thrust Angle is, so no problem there. What I'd like to understand is how the Thrust Angle is determined from the rear wheel Toes. Does anybody know? And as part of the query, how is the Total Toe calculated from the four wheel Toes? TC |

The total toes apply to each axle seperately.
For calculating the total toe angle calculate the difference between the two toe readings. Example: manufactures spec O/S +1 deg +0.25, N/S +1 deg +0.25, Total toe = +1 degree +/- 0.25 deg For calculating the thrust angle you normally half the total toes of the rear wheels. For example: if the nearside toe is 8 degrees and the offside toe is 0 degrees then the thrust angle is 4 degrees. The above examples are simple ones as it's 2.35 am and time I got some sleep. Hope this helps, Russ
