Still seem to be very popular in the Southeast. I see mk 1's every day and a fair number of mk 2's. Only one V8 that I know off. There is a MG tourer and a R75 saloon for sale in a car dealers just down the road. Barons Specialist Cars have an MG and just around the corner from them is a R75 for sale. There is always at least one parked in B & Q's every time I go. I must have handed out at least 50 club postcards since I had then printed in the new year.

I wrote to DVLA last year under the fredom of information act and asked them for details of 75/ZT's still on road.

They have a get out clause in the legislation which says that if it will take them too long to put the information together they dont have to do it and they quoted me a ridiculous amount of staff hours needed to interrogate their IT systems so that was that, i dont believe it would take that long but have no way of disproving it

Same here Steve, I see many 75's and MG's on the way to work (Southampton). The V8's though are few and far between though.

Is this a worldwide figure for all the production years (1999-2005)?

The present problem is many buyers of the old models don't appreciate they are expensive cars not a budget buy,
but an executive car type purchase,
expensive when repairs required in their minds and to keep on road so get scrapped very quickly.
Soon as a HGF or a Cam Belt change is overdue or required you see them sent for scrap.
There will be only the dedicated few left in the end as in any mark of car unfortunately.

I guess the first 75's now qualify for government scrappage scheme. I would imagine that lots of 99 cars will be scrapped this year, then many more 2000 cars next year. Ten years from now our cars will be a very rare sight!

Still relatively common site around my area in North Kent of all variants. Still see them for sale on virtually all the second hand car lots locally. Within a 5 minute walk of my house there are 5 that I know of not including my two.

Why worry?
We know how good they can be, and I really think we have got the problems truly sorted with the many efforts from the club.
Generally big cars are out so maybe it is the time to snap another one up at the moment., looked after, these cars can last most of us the rest of our lives, with a bit of luck!
