I don't see any problem, you don't need to pay a tenner to be a member of the forum, you choose to pay.

You have had beef with the subscription tenner for as long as I remember, so just don't pay and keep using the forum. It works for many others.

Nearly 34000 posts Paul, you are a very valuable part of this forum,we need members like you with your knowledge of our cars.

This club funds discussion always seem to raise its head now and then, but at the end of the day we pay our subscriptions voluntary not expecting to get anything for it apart from the wealth of knowledge, advice, and help given, all of this is free.

Also the friendship forged over the years with fellow members, where can you buy that for a small subscription.

At the end of the day you can still have all that for nothing, nobody needs to subscribe if they do not want to,there are plenty of active non subscribers who are always willing to help.

I am a member of some sites on facebook as well, thats fine, but this club will always be my No1 choice.

As for the charitable donations, its up to the club owner where any funds are donated to charitys wherever they may be,whatever charity was chosen there would always be a counter argument that others deserve it more.

So finally Paul, you are a very respected member of this forum and it would be a very sad day if you decided to leave.

Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

As in posts above, don't pay it if you don't want to. I'm wondering what the benefits are myself. Is it a 'goodwill gesture'?

Where the club owner decides to send his charitable donations is his choice...true.. But perhaps a small donation to the guys out in the field, organising meets, spreading the word, all at their own liability and cost should be supported too

You can do with your money what you please, as can the owner of a business.

I see no problem.
