Taking Redfive back to the garage today as they never secured the undertray properly when she was there. I bought the fixings off of DMGRS. Not costing me anything, which is only right.
Good (very early!) morning Bob. I'm on the grandbairns school run this morning - hence I'm out of bed at this unearthly hour.
Try some malt sleeping drams before going to bed - I find it works wonders

Morning all, it's bright sunny day at present and looks like rain on the cards after dinner. I think I'll do a bit of shopping this morning then.

A drier day than yesterday - although as I type, the clouds are building.
We (that's me and SWMBO, son, daughter-in-law, 2 grandkids and my sister) are all off for a lazy weekend, chilling, eating and drinking in a rented bungalow between Pickering & Scarborough.
Looks like a canny place - not often you get 4 bedrooms on the ground floor - absolutely ideal for my sister who struggles with stairs after her chemotherapy treatment.
A change of scenery and some different walls to look at will do us all good after a hectic &, at times difficult, few months

Good morning all, how is everyone? Locksmith due to add some more locks to the front door. I had a refund from the car insurance company on the change of post code. It all helps. They have asked for proof of mileage with a photo of the odo, and 6 others for the classic car bit. After that, I should be up to date with everything They think when my renewal is due in January, the quote will be lower than last year. Mmmmm we will see if they honour their words

Good morning Jeff, bon appetite

I could do with a holiday really, as I have been on the go for the past 6 weeks without a day off. Our new flat is on the 4th floor and no lift, but wonderful views. 48 steps and 6 flights of stairs. I was up and down those stairs yesterday 5 times, taking stuff to the tip, 240 steps and I feel all the better for it. Apart from the aneurysms, I put it down to the stamina improving since the bypass 2 years ago, keeping fingers crossed and doing my best with everything, making friends and not enemies. I wish the ones who are at each other on the forum realise how life is too short to fall out over words and misunderstandings. Some can't change and that is how it is. Positive thoughts

Cool

Got Redfive back with the undertray firmly fixed back in place, no charge. And a extra 10% discount next time I use them.

Sorted out the Bears car insurance and road tax. Job done for another year.

Got all my Xmas cards written out, all two of them.

Fixed the clock in the front room. It had stopped, battery operated. Re-charged the battery but no go. Took the mechanism apart, cleaned and lightly oiled. Up and running again.

Opened a bottle of wine and now chilling with a nice bit of rump steak, spuds and cabbage.
