Good news!!! :-) Using the "hit the starter with something substantial" metod, I can now start the engine!!. yupiiii

Do these starters use brushes? Worn brushes symptom can often be temporarily solved by a sharp whack, helping them to re-seat. I'll check and service my starter before it goes back on after the clutch change.
