Guessed it might be, horrible stuff along with pepper, pinenuts and garlic.

I cleared out a blocked sewer once, it had backed up so much that it was pushing the manhole lid off. As soon as I broke the crust on top I got an overpowering stink of boiling sprouts.

Never eaten one since
