M40 Murder!

Can someone please explain how 7 men can be convicted of the murder of a motorcyclist riding on the M4 when only one man can pull the trigger of a gun?

Probably 'conspiracy' to murder - same thing with 7 as with 1.

who really cares? good to see them all put away.

i suspect they all played a role vital to the murder, hence all of them were partly responsible.

this problem has been around for years ! all these hells angel gangs never get on, very grown up ?????? iv'e been in bike clubs over the years ( not 1%ers though ) and never had any hassle with other bikers, we all get on very well. it just gives us normal bikers a bad name .

I've always thought the M4 was murder anyway, and the M1 & M25 too!

In 1953 Derek Bentley (aged 19) was hanged for the murder of a policeman even though Chris Craig (aged 16) fired the gun responsible. I don't know the detail of the relevant law, but it seems that accomplices to murder are also considered responsible for the crime. I suppose the hope is that they will be discouraged from being accomplices.
