You can count me in for a badge as it is the only thing I need.

People, you need to be mindfull that fitting the MG7 surround is no task for the mechanically challenged nor the leviathan handed. Take care or seek help to retro fit it correctly. I am still looking into a suitable tool to cut the slots into the bumper. The first chance i get after the new yearI will do a how to with detailed pics of the surround. and how it is designed to fit. Retro fitting MG7 grill parts is simple, however if no spot mounting brackets are fitted, they will need to be fabricated in some way.
If stainless bolts are used with self locking nuts, so the spot is in place, and all bolts touch the bumper. you can simply apply mounds of body filler/bumper repair and push the bolts down into them, smooth it around the head of the bolt and let it set. MkII spots are smaller and lighter than MkI's

I'll be interested if I manage to obtain an MG7 grill. That bit needs a similar campaign really. I haven't even started, one thing and another...

As for the custom Rover badge, would it be the traditional (Mk1 version) or the less classy (IMO) Mk2?

TC

ok 5/6 badges now, still need a few more who are willing to take a £20 punt.

I have not yet ordered my grille but have the premium bumper, Steve has posted the grille ordering details in post 82 above and as far as i know you dont need any part number to order.

Post 88 above has a picture of what the grille looks like on a 75, and you will see that the grille badge recess is hectagonal for a traditional MG badge, so to make this a success we need a Rover badge in a hectagonal shape which is what i am hopefully going to have made.

To repeat: the badges will only be £10 each but there are initial tooling costs of £120 so if 10 badges were ordered they would effectively cost about £20 each which includes the tooling costs and thereafter would become cheaper.

Now i have some interest from a few members I will e mail the company today and ask for a sketch which i can post in this thread asap
