There was talk some time ago about removing life vests as most planes hit the water at speed and disintergrate...........bet they're glad they didn't on this one.

I like many here could be classed as a frequent flyer and out of respect for the steward/stewardess doing their job I watch and listen to them during the safety briefing at the start of each flight, I'm amazed at the number of people with a blase' attitude who blatantly ignore it, you never know when you'll need to know!!!

Tell me about it,
The lack of respect for saving their own lives is so surprising. The same type of people that would then be calling for help to save them or suing the Airline! |

Though sometimes I wonder if the cabin crew think I'm wierd as I seem to be the only one sitting watching them. Perhaps I should stop when the demonstration is over? |

Surely though, if you are a frequent flier then perhaps there is not the need to listen.
They are all the same - think I could probably repeat the speech having heard it so many times. When I board an aircraft I note my seat and where the exits are. How many times do you need to be told: what to do when the oxygen masks drop - tug them, put yours on before helping others life vest under the seat - in the case of a certain no-frills airline place a £1 in the slot do not inflate whilst in the aircraft top up using the tube etc etc However, as to the landing - the pilot seems to have done a brilliant job of not only saving the passengers but also those on the ground. I don't need to be told again, just feel it's a courtesy thing. I'm sure they're used to most people not listening, so it's only really a me thing, nothing else. Oh, and they aren't all the same. Similar yes, the same no. I've travelled on enough different airlines to spot differences in the detail, especially on things like when you can and can't use electronic equipment. |

It looks like those A320's are built almost as well as the 75. Suffered the same fate with a starling once, but managed a controlled landing. The 75 I mean, the starling wasn't so lucky.
