Default 03 CDTI ZT 2ltr - Fuel Gauge

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows why my fuel gauge always seems to be moving up and down. It doesnt move all the time while driving, but i can look at it at the start of the journey and it can be (for example) 1/2 full, by the time im home its now almost full!

If i jump in the car and set off again, it reads the correct (well i think its correct) fuel, but sometimes it can go pretty low and the light comes on! Which can be a tad worrying as im forever topping her up incase she really is low low !

Thanks

The senders are part of the intank pump .
See how electricaly they look like (diesel engine)

Do you just "pull" the rear seats to access it?

Thank you

ps. by the way, I'm seeing the same thing (lately gotten worse) mine is a mk2 from 2005, so just one pump, same diagram?

Yes,and for the one pump type ,i don't see why that could be different...
there is one sender in the pump side and another filter side.
