I have, and I still don't know what you mean

They are simply horrible to drive in anything other than a straight line, skittish on damp roads while maneuvering, have the worst transmission lash I've ever experienced in any RWD car, and to cap it off are filled to the brim with prototype electronics, right up to the last one

Now ask Bilstein about refurbishing shock absorbers that have rotted through the spring cup, and £554 each for remanufactured items.......really

The only good thing about the V8 is the sound it makes on startup, then tickover to about 1500 RPM.

The fact of the matter is, a nice well looked after 190 is a much better proposition

Bilstein cant rebuild the 260 front dampers anymore as there are no spring cups available.

100000000000% on the money Brian, I couldn't agree more.

To me they feel like a kit car with a roof, everything about them is "wrong" to drive, i've said it before, bar in a straight line (and even then theres very little in it) a 190 will out handle and out drive a v8 all day long.

HOWEVER, the 75 v8 with the auto is 100% more enjoyable to drive imo, auto and the v8 suit each other so much. Just a shame about the inability to actually lock the gears up!
