T4 in Cornwall?
Does anyone know if there is a trusted T4 operator in Cornwall please?
I wouldn't go to anyone but the demigods inhabiting these hallowed e-halls for anything major like diagnostics or remapping, but all I need done is to get a spare key coded. Is Exeter Street Garage in Newton Abbot the nearest? Thanks Martin |

I think Newton Armpit is likely the closest. I haven't seen anyone advertising T4 services in Plymouth or Cornwall.

I'd give Rodgers of Plymouth a call - 01752-402623, ask for Richard who's in charge in the workshops.
They were the main dealer for many years and I'm pretty certain they'll still have their T4

Good thinking! I bought an old-style 214 from them about 20 years ago!

Ther is also Vanstones of Launceston, they are still a Rover specialist.
I used them to have the belts done on my previous 75. Regards Tom

I'd rather travel a couple of hundred miles than use a "professional" T4 opperator.
In my opinion enthusiasts are always better than garage operatives every time. That go's for any "hobby orientated" job. Enthusiasts enquire & explore further into any hobby they embrace, to professionals it's just another job till home time. Seek out a T4 guy here on the forum. Kev. |

If your spare key doesnt have a bar code then they won't be able to program it.

If I were having a remap or any ECU jiggery pokery done, I'd go to one of our experts (Phil) or go without. Quote:
I hadn't considered that. I have acquired a second-hand gubbins to go into the blade from my original key, left over when I switched to a flip key. So there's no way I could get that coded to my car then? |
