The malice in your post is that which you have ascribed to Trebor et al...none of whom have a malicious bone in their bods I might add..

I am sure the National will not suffer due to this...as I am equally sure that the Nano will not suffer due to the National...for obviously, if people have arrangements for one then they were not intending to go to the other...granted though, it is a shame for those that would like to do both...but then they have the April Nano meet to look forward to...

I will try to attend the nano meet this time.

I had no intention of attending the national as it is too far (178 miles) for a day out for me, best estimate would be 3-1/2 hours drive each way..

Now now children lets be grown up about this. Im sure if 7 or 8 members attend a nano meet the national meet will not fall flat on its face. I think it nice to have a choice and that what you have. Most of the folks who want to attend the nano as aready stated would not have attended the first national anyway because of distance. Clearly its only fair the National moves around the country but you will never get all memeber to attend no matter what the location. I for one have changed my mind having attended the chasewater meet with the local guys I now want to attend another local meet with the local guys. See you soon.

Im in Rob The 13th march it is

Hi Derek,

I can assure you that as already said I have not "made sure" of anything and the clash is coincidental rather than anything else, so the unfortunate tone you take about my intentions is just wrong.

I know that you hold the National meets close to your heart and I have attended the last 3 or 4 but are you seriously saying that a group of members who would not be going to the National on this occasion cannot get together and do something else on the same day ?

Had this just been posted on the community site and left off here because of the clash of dates, I would have been open to criticism for excluding club members on here a lot of whom were not going to the national anyway so I personally dont see the problem, there is no hidden agenda, and I just want to get back to the business of helping to organise meets and enjoying them when they happen, not get embroiled in these battles, they do no one any good.

I suppose it is a massive compliment to the nano meets if anyone sees them as a threat to a National meet but they have grown in popularity because of their very nature of fixing our cars and educating owners about them at the same time and we expect the one on 6 March to be a relatively small affair and no threat whatsoever to the National meet

If you are going to the POL you are welcome to pitch your caravan at the 4 Ashes free of charge, join us for an evening meal on Saturday after POL and take part in the nano meet the day after, if there is anything that wants doing to your car let us know

Rgds

Also if not going to the National Meet due to location or any other reason,
and you need something sorting on car, the Nano is a good place to be if within your distance.
You can also catch up with other members and old friends.

Very true Doreen, although the same could be said of the National, and perhaps to a greater extent

Trebor, If you should ultimately decide on this date, I wish you every success and hope you have a well subscribed event.
