water loss
Hi has I have had to return to hospital I have resumed looking were my coolant bin going I found it oil cooler hose but iam great difficulty obtaing one a few people have said its not needed and by pass the cooler altogether would this be alright doing so idea's please

Is it this one which you need Rod? If so, it's still listed as available from X-Part despite Rimmer's claim that it's no longer available.
My view is that it's not advisable permanently to by-pass an oil cooler because no manufacturer would fit a component like that if there wasn't a good reason for it. Simon

Thanks for that Simon the person who told me to do it did it on is own car three and half years ago nearly ninteen thousand miles without problem he also said cut the hose in half and infill with a copper pipe has he has done in the past on other cars many thanks Rod

This is a straight forward water cooling hose.
It should be really easy to get something that fits! Even if the original should no longer be available. I suggest getting this off, take it to your local spares shop, and rummage around the hoses he has in stock, it should be no problem at all to find something workable!!

Rod,
Both the hoses connected to the oil cooler are available so there's no need to by-pass it anyway, just replace the faulty hose. Simon

Looking at x part distributes there seems to be three quite close to me one within half a mile so I will give them a try tomorrow many thanks again
