Good morning all, an unexpected death in the family. Jessica's Uncle Ian. He had gone to hospital with sudden chest pains. A mass/clot was found behind his heart. He had a history of heart bypass and didn't want any more surgery or for anything heroic to be tried by the doctors. He said his goodbyes to his wife and grown up children. Not long after this, Ian suffered a bleed to both sides of his brain. Uncle Ian was a lovely family man and was still working as an architect and painter at the age of 83. His military, naval and battle scenes are on display at the Imperial War Museum in London. Until a few days ago, he was chopping logs in the forest at his home. He lived life to the full.

RIP Ian
