What features should all 75 and ZT's have came with but didn't?
Been thinking recently about our cars and how have some wonderful features and conforts yet there are several things they are clearly missing.
For me the obvious list given the era of design and production would consist of would be as follows Isofix brackets (as standard or a retrofit kit option) Rear wiper (saloon, I'm sure it could have been done in a neat way) Then obviously the dreams would be Hatchback varient - 75 meets sd1 / 800 fastback Coupe varient - goes without saying So question is, what do you think is fundamentally missing from our cars, compared to other cars from say 2000 onwards?

Footwell and puddle lights. Most 800s had puddle lights built into the doors.

Cruise related.
For the models that can have Cruise control... and why not the 1.8? ... a system that you can decrease by 1 mph at the flick of the switch.
Have never looked ... but I assume BMW 3 or 5's have this feature? Good topic for a thread btw Cheers John

Heated front windscreen. I know we can retro fit.
More powerful V6 for the ZTs Traction control To be fair the higher spec cars were pretty rammed with gadgets and drivers aid for their time.

Illuminated ring on ignition - Project Drive casualty
Really annoys me that you have to fiddle around in the dark to find the ignition slot in later MG-R's

Saloon boot-lid button and handle (an old school / conventional set-up).
Better quality door cards. Cheers, Karl. |

Auto lights, the sensor windscreens have the place for the sensor so why was it never fitted or was it just cost savings?
