Hi Ralph, how are you getting on with the installation? Have you solved the remote control problem yet?

Hello Schotten,
Sorry, we just came back from the Lux meet on the 25th to 28th of may. So I didn,t had time to work on the SATNAV. We have been in the X-part (CAT logistics) store in Metz (France) though. What I noticed: All the shelfs of the SATNAV section where completely empty.......that's a relief. But I made them clear that the clubmembers should have the privilege to supply them spare parts when needed and on time. So Friday folks I will have my brackets delivered in Holland!!!!!! Also the interface for my remote control. Problem solved. Keep you all informed, regards, Ralph |

The X-part dealer called me today. They said my e-mail request for the partnumbers could have been filtered by their spam filter  All parts will be delivered next week on friday. After that it's party time.
I will make specific piccys of my existing Low-line for you all. Also how to dismount it and transfer it to the high line equipment. Be patience........ Cheers, Ralph |

Need some help here Keith
Keith,
I connected the cable loom to every unit as shown before and then I tried to do a test without mounting everyting in advance. Unfortunatly the head unit doesn't seem to work. The head unit seems to get powered on, because it makes a little switching noise and the screen lights up with a fade blink, but the power LED doesn't light up. The GPS MKIII seems to work and is responding, the red LED also lights up. I know that I have to be carefull not to power off, before the LED is out. The radio unit is connected with the 17 pins connector C0818 (black) and antenna The GPS unit is connected with two 18 pins connectors (blue and purple) and to the aerial GPS antenna The TV unit is connected with two 18 pins connectors (white and blue) but there are two antenna connections needed I don't have!!! On your "how to" you have some pictures where you can clearly see the two antenna cables on this unit. Are those the ones from the televison amplifier and where is its location? The two grey cables you mentioned before are indeed for wheel speed and reverse. I thought they were used to connect my car kit, but that connection is already been made on my ISO adapter (before the loom) I made the test as shown on these pictures below: Swapping the Low Line Connections of the Low Line Cables of the Low Line Adapting to the High Line This plug was left over from my Low Line? The head unit stays blanc Last edited by damydyo1; 28th July 2007 at 19:22.. |

Chances are you have not got the Kbus conmected from the nav loom to the kbus in the car, if not nothing will work
K bus is the red/white/yellow wire Also have you found the small six pin connector with the abs and reverse connections? as you will be needing that |

Oké Keith, I'll check that out first thing tommorrow morning. And thanks for your quick reply!
The two grey cables I have on the Kufatec loom are indeed for the speed and reverse, but I didn't noticed the little six pin connector yet. Have to look for it also. You don't have a picture of it by any chance Keith? Is it his one? And what to do with it? Cheers Ralph Last edited by damydyo1; 29th July 2007 at 17:27.. |
