I think these local elections are more often than not used by voters to give the sitting national government a kicking in way of protest rather than to determine local policies.

If you are on polling duty you must know a few things. What are the folio numbers on the polling slips for. As the voting is private it can't be to track the voter but it must be for something?

Is it just to show the slip is genuine in the case of the poll being compromised? I have always wondered but never asked
