Default 75 diesel automatic chip options etc ?

I just wondered if the Diesel automatic can cope OK with a higher power chip.

I know on manuals it can sometimes force clutch failure along a little.

Any suggestions for an affordable pop on yourself chip thats Ok please.

Thanks Mark.

You might find this useful Mark. The author, PhilR75, worked at Longbridge on KV6 engine management design.

Why not just go for the 160 remap - effective and makes the car how it should be.

Mark, the Jatco is quite capable of withstanding 360Nm, the post by Simon quoting the factory 131 tune was slightly misplaced by the original author

The peak torque of 300Nm and peak power output of 129 BHP, was limited by an agreement with BMW for the continued supply of M47R engines

If you want more power and better fuel consumption, then plug in boxes are not the way forward

The box would be fine with that, and the 160 can be applied along with a complete healthcheck of your car and any factory options enabled or disabled to suit your personal requirements

If you want to know more, drop me a PM

ZT auto diesel here with 160 remap. Been on for 2 years now. No issues.

Mine had the little shetlands (116 bhp) before. Now it's got a shire horse. 33% increase in power.

It will stress components a little more (all remaps will). Just don't go hoofing it all the time. As with any car - a bit of mechanical sympathy and they will go on and on.
