I nipped out to clear some leaves down at the garage before the weather really appears, dear God its bitterly cold out there not helped by the wind getting up as well.

Got two amber warnings in effect here from 13:00, one for snow, the other for ice caused by freezing rain.

Dark and dismal here, had the light on for a while and even the outside light has been triggering since about 14:30. No sign of the threatened meteorological Armageddon though.

Hoping for some snow, Maya has never seen snow before and I'm looking forward to seeing her reaction

Evening all, what a horrible freezing cold rainy day, indoor activities only for me as I'm home alone (missus & daughter gone shopping in Bolton.....heaven) and I've raided her swilly cupboard for a large scotch & water.

I'm swatting up on rail routes for when that train simulator PC game arrives

there's a selection of different trains/scenarios to choose from around the world.
