If your Toaf is moaning that some modules cannot be found it's usually because pins 7 & 8 aren't bridged.

Good luck

How many cars have you tried to use it with?

I had a 75 that would do the same, TOAF could only find a couple of the modules, but I had a 2nd 75 that it had no problem communicating with. I think there was a dodgy connection with the BCU or K-bus fault, but I never got to the bottom of it.

Only known this to happen when the pins inside the obd pug on the car have been pushed upwards inside the plug and can't make a connection with the diagnostic lead plug from the laptop and so can't talk to all the modules correctly. Use a small fat bladed screw driver and firmly press on the pins in the car and pull downwards to draw the pins back down again slightly so the diagnostic lead connector can make full contact again.

Could be this as I connected OK just now, read the BCU checked the keys, all OK, Entered the new PCB number and saved it off.
Gave a long number ending with my VIN..
Tried to restore and it came up with a VIN mismatch error , so went no further.

Tried couple times since and although it says connected OK, it won't read anything or occasionally comes up with garbled text.
