OK, maybe not as "definitely" as I thought, but getting there! I was thinking that as it had a lower MTPLM than ours, it would tick all the boxes, but was forgetting that we ran over the 85% figure as I was happy to do so with years of experience!
Anyway, for this one you're getting Kerbweight ratio: 91% Towing limit ratio: 91% Gross train weight ratio: 100% BHP per ton : 54 so certainly "do-able". Looks a nice van too, but not exactly on your doorstep this one? EDIT: 90 miles? Not too bad!

Not quite, but only Carlisle, which is about 65 Miles or so. So definitely close enough. Has a nice "look" about it |

Would'nt bother with first one already had big damp problem and thats the killer. In my experience many van interiors look good but don't just get swept away by that, look in all the lockers inside and out round windows make sure inner walls and floors aren't spongy take a damp meter with you and have a good smell if there's air freshners about be aware, bit long winded but hope it helps, lots out there hope you find what you are looking for.

The nose test is always a good one! If the van honks when you view it, it's always going to honk and chances are you won't get used to it enough to not notice. If there's a nice "new van" smell (and you'll know it when you smell it) that always bodes well

Thanks for the advice Chaps.
I wasn't fussed on the first one tbh, it was only after mentioning the weight, and it being local, that I even looked at it. My first choice, is clearly too heavy, which is a shame, as it looks like a new pin. The second one, in Carlisle will be definitely worth a look. Even just watched the video walk through that they have posted on the add. Tow bar will be the next thing on the shopping list (or the first lol) |

Graham, if you do the towing course, depending on the ins company, you may get a discount on premium for doing it. The main insures are caravan club and caravan guard . Expect to pay about £130/150 for middle of the road insurance, a fully comprehensive policy will,be a bit more . Depends where you store it.

I'd love a motorhome, had a couple of large campers. But they're so expensive, and my numbers didn't come up again
