Ooops a bit touchy about the ESTA are we not! We (both I and my better half) have twice applied fro ESTA's and it was straight forward with a separate confirmation arriving within 48 hours so a really last minute application (which I know yours wasn't) might be problematic. Maybe it was the IT causing you a problem rather than the ESTA process itself. Anyway, enjoy your trip we'll be somewhere in the US eastern seaboard and east Canada this summer too...visas permitting

Yup, as it's all sorted now, I can calm down.

Enjoy your trip.

Dealing with visa applications can be incredibly frustrating, especially when technical issues add to the stress. I'm glad to hear that you finally managed to get the Canadian visa approved swiftly after the initial challenges. Hopefully, the U.S. visa approval comes through smoothly as well, allowing you to enjoy your trip across the pond without further complications. In the meantime, if you're looking for reliable assistance with travel-related concerns, brightway insurance customer service could be a helpful resource for any questions or support you may need.
