Sorry to disagree but I thought he struck exactly the right note. Everyone reads from a script. I hardly think any "spad" needed to write anything for an ex-DPP. I loathe everything Johnson stands for: his continual lies, corruption, immorality, cronyism and incompetence. Read Tom Bower's excellent biography The Gambler if you want further evidence.
