Well, just congratulating myself on my car passing its 6th MOT , but it looks like my wonderful repair job of a year or two ago has reached its shelf life – got the light on the dash tonight, then spoke coming out the back… sigh…

Did somebody post on here a while ago that there were new ones available again or something?

Hard wired mine - think it will last longer than a replacement original.

I have managed a few repairs by soldering the rivets to the circuit board track and cleaning up the bulb holders, re-shaping contacts ETC. The board is then water proofed, double sided sponge taped and off it goes!
I have a number of these out on members cars and all looking good so far. Mine was done many months ago with no issues.

Hard wired mine last year,no problems expected EVER...

Yeah me too... looks like I didn't do it well enough somehow though, as it all went up in a puff of smoke last night after 2 years!

The tracks had completely burned out in a different place this time. Was pushed for time, so bought a new unit from DMGRS - fitted and working next day. Hopefully it'll last a few years
