Hold on, Reebs post HERE says that 100001, the first full production car, was built on 12th April 1999, so it looks like I was right

I'm guessing that 100001 was built 12th April but the press release not made until 6th May - perhaps it was that day that 100001 was handed to Gaydon.

Default Dates

Hi guys thank you all for the information . Just as point of interest a few dates regarding my car. Judging by the vin number my car is 1792? She was built on march the 2nd 1999; She was first registered on 19-03-1999. Then had its pdi at Lawford Heath preparation centre on the 28-05-1999. So as I guessed she is quite early. Thanks again to the various people on this site that helped with information; Special mention to XPART2 ! I am guessing you get the build number for the car from the last numbers on the end of the vin number?

Hold on again,,

Have a read of this post.

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...&postcount=259

The first entry is that 100001 was built on the 6th May 1999.

This photo is dated the 6th May 1999, but according to Reebs first record it was built 12th. April 1999, three weeks earlier.

Reebs 2nd list shows 100001 built 6th. May 1999.

So, either the 75 in the picture is not 100001 or the launch picture was taken three weeks earlier.

I suppose another possibility is that 100001 was kept at Cowley for 3 weeks for the picture.

A mystery ??

Good morning Dave, I would have thought that if the complete vin no is available then the correct build date will be known

Absolutely !

100001 build date according to this list is the 12th. April 1999

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...=dealer+launch

100001 build date according to this list is the 6th may 1999

http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...&postcount=259

It's not that important, and a check in the build records will confirm the correct date.
