Evening all. Been a nice day, went out on the bike again today, done 8 miles. I haven't been out for a week or two due to weather, I really need to do this more as I'm getting a fat belly and need to lose some weight and start eating healthy again. I weighed myself yesterday morning 13stone 10.
Fred, picking up on your earlier post, we have sirens going past every day several times a day. The paramedic station is a mile along the road right next to the coach company I do a bit of work for, and our street is 30 seconds from the main Newcastle to Carlisle trunk road, so if they are heading north or west, they come past our house. Somtimes its nice just to go out to the riverside byway or a walk in the fields to escape the noise.

Yesterday went with my son and his family to Burtton Dassett Hills country park, not far from Gaydon. Loads of visitors there but plenty of room so separation of groups was comfortable. Nice place with far reaching views. All of my group (except me ) caught the sun despite applying sun cream. My first visit there and very impressed.

Morning all, It's grey & looks like rain shortly, judging by the weather forecast it looks like it will be in for the day. Good job I got the lawns mowed yesterday then.

Morning all - mix of light cloud and the odd sunny interval here.
Missus has had me moving furniture so that she can continue with her wallpaper stripping. Luckily, the bedroom in question is quite small, so there's no room for two of us to work. I just stand on the landing and supervise.
I see that one of the movies channels on my Virgin box has started showing non-stop Christmas Movies - in July
