Here it's the main roads and bus routes that get priority, after that you might get a visit from a gritter if you're lucky.

Most ridiculous thing I heard was a couple of years ago, couple I know that live on the main street watched it happen, small council tractor came along depositing salt on the pavement . . . . about an hour later one of those pavement sweepers came along and sooked it all up again

Still very tiny flakes, and very light, no snow to speak of ....yet..... ?

But the surounding hills are thick with snow, so driving around the views are lovely innit...
...

Typical council management - street cleansing management save money by using these mini roadsweepers on footways - highways management then pay more out repairing the footways because of the damage caused by them driving on somewhere not built for vehicles ..... you couldn't make it up!
