Jean drove the m67-m60-m56-m6 to Wrightington and back today, 55miles each way, she saw very little snow either in the morning going, or in the afternoon coming back. But on the return trip she ran through several hail storms..

Still very little snow here... Rather disappointing innit...

Off topic-- Apparently her passengers commented on how quiet and smooth the ride was, asking a lot of question about the car, non of which she could answer.. lol....

We are in the midst of really heavy and continuous snow now - been nigh on a white out since about 5.00pm . Definitely going to be a case of
in the morning

Been Snowing in York but has now subsided. Parked the 75 up yesterday and got the Discovery out, just in case! Haven't driven a 75 in snow, how do they cope?

>>>Haven't driven a 75 in snow, how do they cope?<<<

Depnds on how they are shod. 15 inch standard with winter tyre = very very good.

Gets worse fast as you go bigger and wider innit...

They're very good Mr/Ms Rubythursday. Stable and forgiving- especially with winter tyres- I played with mine a couple of years ago in a car park; got some strange looks in the car park...

Much the same as any other car really - low revs, high gear and no sudden movements - as others have said, the wider the tyre, the less grip on fresh snow. They are a bit long and heavy for handbrake turns - but that's another story

That is a good option Stu - a touch of sliding practise in a deserted car park gives you a bit more chance of getting it back if it lets go with you of its own accord.

Cheers Rod; you'd be the best person to advise with your motorsport experience; what do you think of the '75 handling?

When mine let go on black ice (before winter tyres) I had to be quick to catch her, but had I not played with cars in car parks, I'd have binned her big time!
