Simon, I must confess I’ve not printed that photo A4, why can you see something wrong with the screen image?

Simon, I do get a slight difference in colour prints compared to my monitor but have not noticed much change in B&W!

Took a few more on the weekend. My new job and lack of light hours is restricting how much I get out with my camera. Maybe time for some night shots instead next time (or a holiday!).

Strangly enough, I have an epson photo printer (R360) and don't see much of a difference at all (maybe the prints are slightly darker at a pinch) I do use genuine inks and paper though.
Having said that, so does my friend and he always complains that nothing prints out the way he wants it However, if you really want it sorted and have a deep pocket...... http://www.xrite.com/top_products.aspx I think they have some demo software on there you can try as well.

No Simon, they seem ok, my printer is an Epson stylus Photo RX640 all in one.
Just out of interest I have found a new way of sharpening in Photoshop. Usually you would sharpen with unsharpen mask, but this can often leave you with a halo, try this to avoid. Layer – New – Layer via Copy – Blend Mode = Overlay – Filter – Other – High Pass, Use the slider to best effect! |
