We need an half way meeting point, so if anyone has any suggestions please post, what about Matlock ? i understand its very picturesque if you know where to go and looks about half way on the map to me, anybody familiar with Matlock ?

Check out Matlock Spa, just up the road from Matlock.

Scroll down to Matlock and then click on more for the full sp.

As the man says, you need to pick your day to visit

That about 80 mile for me so no problem there. Raggy bots next free weekend is 7th 8th June.

Is that OK with others?

If so we just need a meet point. As said Hairy bikers take over the town weekends so we need to keep tabs on Tatts

Any body local for a scout around?

every time we went to Matlock it was really hard to park, and we were in one car, how will we cope with about 15 cars.
anyone close by who could give a few ideas about where to park would be helpful.
those dates are both fine with us,

I can concur that Matlock is possibly one of the worse places to get parking spaces. It's a well known biker town with lovely A roads for driving and riding on hence it's popularity with both bikers and drivers alike. As such most weekends it's packed and parking is restricted at the best of times. There are a few spots and layby's near to the river along the main road leading to and from Matlock itself but even these seem to be get quite busy as temporary stops for bikers and drivers.

It may be best avoiding Matlock for a venue due to the very limited parking availability in my opinion.
