And what a list it is Ken
Like I've said elsewhere and to coin a familiar phrase "You've got to be in it to win it" so what are you waiting for? Get yourself registered and we'll see you all on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May!

We have now received the tickets to both Bucklers Hard and Beaulieu. You can still book on line for both days right up until the evening of Friday 2nd May or you can just turn up for the day on the Sunday

Is there some gate at Bucklers Hard or entrance and someone waiting for us with the tickets?
In the first post, it was mentioned "from 12:30 onwards": what time would be the latest?

Over the next two or three days I will be posting up a detailed agenda and everything will be on there  In answer to your question we will be there from about 12.00 onwards and one of us will have the tickets to hand out. At least one of us will be available with the tickets up until about 4pm on the Saturday. If you have a problem getting over don't worry as I will still have the tickets at the pub in the evening but it will cost you a pint

Cheers

Ken

The 75 &ZT Owners Club meet 3rd and 4th of May

If there are any questions please ask on this thread

If you have not booked but you decide to take part at the last minute please feel free to do so. On the Saturday see either Christopher or myself. If its the Sunday then please see grey ghost who will be on the gate between 10.15 - 11.45 after that please see the ticket desk in the main public entrance where the tickets will be at the club price. Any problems please ask them to contact us.

Final arrangements for Saturday and Sunday

Thanks to all of those who have booked for either the Sat and Sun or just the Sunday. We are hoping this one will be a bit special with the draw for the Aston Martin raffle on the Sunday and of course the large raffle for the meet itself. We also have the Xpart presentation where you can all ask questions to Xpart directly  One of the most important aspects of the Sunday will be the presentation of The Gryphon Award by Jayne to the winner of the car of the year as voted by the members.

The weekend events will be as follows:

Saturday May 3rd

12.30 onwards............. All meet up at Bucklers Hard about two miles from Beaulieu. There will not be any organised parking due to there being a Caravan Club meeting there on that day but we have been assured by the owners that there will be more than enough car parking for all of us. When you arrive please see either Christopher or myself for your pre-booked tickets. You will be given a ticket for both days which will be light yellow for adults and lilac for the children. When you enter Bucklers Hard they will take the stub leaving you with the main part of the ticket. Please keep the ticket as you will need that to get into Beaulieu the following day.

Buckler's Hard is a picturesque 18th century village on the banks of the Beaulieu River in the heart of the New Forest. Historically, it is famed as the place where some of Nelson's ships were built before the river silted up

There will be no organised events at Bucklers Hard as its just a social get together and there is a small pub down by the river and a hotel restaurant should you need a meal. The museum is inside the old cottages that made up part of Bucklers Hard. When you come out of the museum there are more cottages to go into further down the green. The pub is the last building on the left before the river bank. Later that afternoon we will be going our separate ways back to our hotels to get ready for the evening.

18.30 onwards............... We have arranged with the landlord of the Royal Oak at Hilltop just outside Beaulieu village to be invaded by Rover 75 and MG ZT owners for a nice evening in a typical New Forest pub.

The pub does a very high standard of bar meals including home cooking so if you wish to eat and drink or just drink you can do so in very nice surroundings. The pub is not huge but it is very typical of the New Forest, if the weather is nice please take advantage of the large tables in the garden. The landlady has told us the full menu will be on that evening so please everyone enjoy themselves. As well as us there will also be the regular customers but we have been assured they are all house trained and are used to being invaded by people from Beaulieu

Whenever you feel like it, go back to hotels etc and get a good nights sleep as next day you will wish you had! Please be careful of the New Forest roads especially when its dark. The roads are unlit and narrow with ditches and humps on both verges. The ponies WILL be stood in the road so please FULL BEAM until you are onto the main roads and even then extreme caution as deer will be crossing the road ahead of you. Please take notice of this and take it from someone who drives on the forest roads all the time it is very dangerous to both the animal life and you.

Sunday May 4th

10.15................Please arrive at The Beaulieu Motor Museum from 10.15 onwards and follow the 75 & ZT owners club signs to the gate. You will be met at the gate by grey ghost who will issue you with your tickets. Adults tickets will be green and children grey. After leaving the gate drive down to the arena which you will find on the right. Parking will be organised by us into the usual groups 75s, ZTs and lastly but not least the V8s. Actros will be showing you where to park so please go by his instructions he has had a lot of experience over the past five meets and he has it down to a fine art now. The arena is a hardstanding for 120 cars and comes with PA system. Simon will be taking pictures of the cars when they arrive and also when parked up, these pictures will be posted up on the forum as soon as Simon can.

The 2006 meet at Beaulieu

We will have our marquee set up by the entrance to the arena so please come over to register that you are there and to collect the itinerary for the day and your registration pack. As you are all no doubt aware we have lost 'Gryphon' this year and to honour him from now on there will be 'The Gryphon Award' which will be the car of the year as voted by you the members so please collect your voting slips from us at the marquee. Please place your voting slips in the ballot box at the marquee by 13.30

During the morning raffle tickets will be on sale so please bring you wallets, handbags, money boxes or cheque books Don't worry you won't have to find us as we will be finding you

14.00........... Please come to the Beaulieu Lecture theatre where at 14.10 Jayne will be presenting The Gryphon Award to the owner of the car of the year as voted by the members. We will then be asking for one of the children to pull the winning ticket in the raffle for the Aston Martin experience which was donated by Carlpenn and was open to all the members. We will also be giving you an update on the club and where we are going.

14.30 - 15.30 again in the lecture theatre there will be a presentation by Xpart.

This will tell you the history of Xpart and how they see the future, the latest position on spares and the current position with reference to the Chinese and how Xpart will be fitting in with them etc. This is a very interesting presentation and well worth seeing. At the end of the presentation there will be questions from the floor so please get those questions ready to ask the Xpart representatives.

15.40 in the lecture theatre we will have the grand raffle where the prizes add up to far in excess of £1200 the majority of these prizes have been donated by the members for this meet. As the prize draw has such fantastic prizes the raffle tickets will be £1 each or £4 for a strip of 5  Please buy generously as the club is depending on a good result to help fund further meets in the future........thanks

As you are in the lecture theatre from 14.00 until the end of the draw we have laid on tea and coffee both before and during the proceedings. Please take advantage of this as we are paying for it!

Advice for Visitors with Dogs from the Beaulieu website

Dogs are welcomed at Beaulieu and are permitted within the grounds, but for the benefit of other visitors we do require that they be kept on a lead and under control at all times. Owners are also asked to ensure that no mess is left within the grounds, as this can be offensive to others and constitute a health risk, especially to our younger visitors. We provide scoops free of charge for disposal of mess - please ask for one on arrival at reception.

We regret that we do not allow dogs to enter the National Motor Museum, Palace House, Abbey, Brabazon Food Court, or on any of the rides. Please note that there is a special area available beneath the Motor Museum entrance where your dog may be left whilst you visit Beaulieu.

I make no excuses for posting this but please don't let kiddies see the pictures at the top of the page LINK Please read it as it is very important for you and your cars as well as the animals.... Thanks
