my saloon is not a daily drive or a hack, my tourer on the other hand is simply because it is not as good as my saloon. Without replacing wings on panel beating and without a new rear bumper and perhaps even a re-spray nor will it ever be. mmm, even a re-spray in the same colour with the colour interior it has it still wont be as good.

Until this month my daily was the Rover Streetwise with the 75 for weekends and holidays.
Wife uses her 75 everyday.

Now, having sold the Streetwise and the 75, my daily is a Peugeot 308 SW diesel.
Wife will continue with her diesel 75.
Come the spring the MG TF will be taxed again.
3 cars is enough now I’ve had to change job.

My diesel tourer gets use most days, I've had it six years and the only thing to fail was an alternator. Everything thing else is just normal wear and tear. Now on 170,000 mls. When I replaced the alternator I took the opportunity to change the antifreeze and when I fitted a new thermostat a while later the old unit looked like it had just come out the box.

Mine was used daily in all weathers from the time I got her some 13 yrs ago, up until a couple of years ago, at which point I decided to keep her primarily for meets, and shows.

Still drive her throughout the year though, normally around once a week or so. She has already been pranged once by a clueless transit driver, so I figured she had earned her retirement

Yes, it's a car not a museum piece.

I don't particularly like the ZT, for me it's a tool and nothing more.

I've never gelled with this car, and it's certainly not a patch on the car it replaced.

Perhaps it's because it's a boring silver car without a soul

Are you still looking for the one you could fall in love with, Brian? What colour and spec would it be?

Hi Brian. I had a 220sd before the 75 in Nightfire Red. Beautiful colour, especially when the sun shines on it. Best colour for a car I have ever had, bar non .

I bought my ZT190 in July and it has been my daily ever since doing 75km a day. I wouldn't call it a hack as I love the car and it's just going to keep getting better.
It's one of the few cars I have named, "Andy" seems to work.
Good thing as I am kind of committed to the name.
