Default 1.8 k series engine petrol non turbo for rover 75 04reg

I am looking for a replacement engine for the beast as mine has started running on 3 cylinders.. I purchased one engine but was wrong one from an mg it has a coil etc fitted. ( Doh ) so have that available if anyone interested. Am in West Yorkshire.

Running on 3 cylinders doesn't necessarily mean the engine needs replacing. What made you want to do it?

Did coil packs, did water seal on manifold.. started losing water after wife let it run low.. previous owner had already used head sealant in it. So thought maybe it had come to end of its life

Came out of a zt originally was rebuilt been run about 2k then car was written off

It's an early engine.
Definitely not a TF engine.

Only early "K"'s had the dissy cap on the end of the cam.
It's not the later "wasted spark" engine which has two ignition coils under the plastic top cover.

This might even have the early manual timing belt tensioner on it.

Have now replaced the injectors...

All running well

Old ones look like they were filled with radweld
