V6 exhaust prices ?
Hello all, I have just brought my Dad a 75 2.5 Con SE which is a W plate with nice miles (about 50k) and is in cracking shape all round. The only thing that I have seen that may need attention is the exhaust in the next year or so as the back box is a bit scabby. I sell new Fords (yawn) for a living and regularly change his cars as I get the part ex's at trade prices and have just taken him out of a nice Omega 3.0 Elite which was a good car but this one he loves so he may keep it a while! Or at least until I get another top spec one but maybe a facelift in. Anyway any ideas on prices on an exhaust on one of these? Thanks in advance for any replies, Darren.
ps. good to see a decent site for these cars - I love them and if I wasn't buying a house right now would be hunting a ZT 260 down as I miss my TR8! |

Welcome to the club and the forum
Rimmers best for OEM exhausts. You'll know them from your TR8 days no doubt. http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/ |

OE rear boxes are a pain in the rear as the system needs to be cut and sleeved. Iirc all the bits will come in at £200ish.Also the last one I supplied to a lad who came from Norway for service the strap that wraps around the rear box the top half was not available. I would consider custom stainless or none genuine looking at the prices.

Mmmm interesting, be a shame to use aftermarket/non genuine bits but we will see how it goes. Thank you for the input chaps and yes I have spent way way too much with Rimmers over the years rebuilding numerous TR7's & 8's !!
Thanks again Darren |
