Thanks all. I’ve got someone coming with me who’s had a diesel tourer for quite a few years. I’m not too worried about not having a lot spent as that’s what I do with mine.

Had a look at the Rover yesterday-it was a white gold Connoisseur SE. Drove very well indeed and was in good condition. It became apparent though that the owner (a very, very nice chap) really didn't want to sell it for personal reasons so I suggested that he holds onto it for now.
It has made me more determined now after over 13 years to buy a diesel auto tourer!! The search continues and thanks for all the help.
