Reading up on the web, it isn't an unknown problem on Honda CRV, Civic and Accord ranges.
Well, got the Honda back with no sign of the low engine oil warning light. Cost me £95 for a diagnostic check and software update (they think software was at the root of the problem). They did wash and polish the car, and hoover the inside out - reputedly FOC but no doubt built into the price somewhere. If the problem re-occurs, they say I'll need a new sensor unit fitting - £179 including VAT

Wish you'd kept the 75?

Think I've copped a bug. Didn't eat half my dinner last night, today, been achey (more than usual!), no appetite, felt cold, iffy stomach. Only just starting to feel hungry.

To be honest Steve, there are times when I wished I still had the 75. However, I now no longer need a crane to get me in and out of the Honda (and neither does SWMBO) and that was one of the main reasons we went for something much further off the ground

If it’s any consolation Rod, I paid £200 for a diagnostics on a Mazda at Ford Potters Bar. A loose earth was the culprit for not starting. Fortunately not a problem in getting it fixed. Are you on a Honda CRV Owners Club forum out of interest?
I am glad to hear the Honda diagnostics found nothing serious

I know what you mean Rod, my mother's arthritis was the reason my father got the Suzuki XL-7. I inherited it after he passed away, had it a few weeks when an in a Freelander flew straight out of a side road at a junction, torpedoed it and wrote it off

I know someone like that, not sure about the engine in the house , but the car on the drive stuffed full, and the gatage with a car stuffed full rings a bell,is it Brian?
