No chance for me I'm afraid.

Second most common name in the phone book after Smith.

There are zillions of us.--

Very good, pretty accurate for my family's surnames.

Family definately not from Lancashire or Birmingham, but the website does show some connection to Cornwall which is where my grandfathers family hailed from - so not too bad.

With a "Scottish" surname, I find this hard to believe...

But the family, on my father's side, all come from the region indicated going back to circa the 14/15th Century, that we could trace.... As the Welsh for James is Iago.... However the sons of the fathers were always known as (eg) Dafydd ap (son of) Alun Which makes tracing older records a bit difficult as there were no surnames

Once we lost track we gave up on the tracing back of the family history

Further - on My mother's side.... (which we never investigated fully)....

Which does have some bearing on the surname

Quite good this, my Great Grandad was from Glasgow so it's not a bad guess.

This is my Mother's maiden name concentration. Not sure why though as she was born and bred in Liverpool the same as her Dad and Grandad.
