Default Another insurance laugh

Just got a quote to insure a 1.8 ZTT. The quotes, from confused ranged from £192 with Privilege to £1599.06 with Insure the box. Who would pay that much for only £20 worth of extra goodies? Same excess and voluntary, windscreen cover and courtesy car and the "Insure the box" quotes breakdown cover is £20 more expensive!

Somebody needs to sort out this insurance lark. My partner has just got a renewal for her Renault wind of £47 a month, she phoned them up to complain as it was £35 a month for last year. She has now got it for £23 a month for the same policy, it makes my blood boil...

Yes it does need sorting out, too many people are getting ripped off by these thieving crooks.
I was sent a renewal a while ago which was over £800, up from £500 that I'd paid the previous year. I phoned them to say I wouldn't be renewing and the lady on the phone told me they could do better if I stayed with them - how did £600 sound?
Still too dear I said, and if you can drop it £200 just like that then I wouldn't insure with you again on principal. By the way is your name Turpin?

I'm getting quotes at the mo, can't get under £200. I haven't had the renewal yet but pretty sure it will top £200. Still looking, it's not about what I get for the money any more, it's who's the cheapest full stop. Best so far is £202 from Tesco Banking! I'm 62, drive a diesel, have loads of NCD, why am I such a risk? I feel you should pay £50 a year, if you claim and it's your fault then put a '0' on the end.

Unfortunately insurance companies do not wish to be out of pocket when large natural disasters occur and large quantities of claims are flooding in !!

Yes. I know what you mean. My insurance renewal is due in February , so expecting it to be something stupid. I mean I am 76, so have got to be a 'high risk'. I have not had an accident since 2002, and that was not my fault, I still have a copy of the report from my insurance company at the time No Blame Accident. Ridiculous figures of up to £16,000 have arrived by confused.com. So was I.

One of my neighbours has a 54 plate Audi 3.2 litre and recently I noticed a very large amount of damage down one side. Today I asked him how much it cost to repair as I felt they would probably write the car off, but, no, they didn't, they spent £2300 on repairs and respray. Why is this particular model of that age worth repairing whereas ours aren't? He is insured with Axa.

If you are married put your wife down as second driver and watch the quote lower. I had a renewal last year which started at £400. Changed companies got it down to to £280. Added my wife and got it down to £180! Who makes these things up? What a country we live in.

Don't forget our friend Mr Osbourne put the insurance premium tax up in his last budget think it was a 5percent increase off the top of my head!
