Default C/Locking Engine running

While warming the engine up, and wanted to know if it was possible to programme the car so I can lock it while the engine is running.

Not to burst the bubble julien but I believe it's illegal to leave a car with the engine running when no one in it I may be wrong but I,m sure someone more knowledge will be along to confirm or refute my words.

You're quite right. Although how it would be applied if the car was locked up so as to prevent unauthorised movement (theft) and therefore danger to others, I'm not sure. Common sense approach I'd like to think.

Does this only apply if the vehicle is on the highway?

As far as I know yes it does. Although a lot of road traffic legislation also applies to private areas which the public have unhindered access. Such as a drunk driver in a supermarket car park.

This only applies if left on a public road/place.
