If you think of the cost of a new currency, Customs & Excise, Diplomats and embassies, an army, a navy and possible an air force as well.
Interesting point Steve how would the armed forces be split, the scottish regiments i guess would form the backbone of a new Scottish army but what of the Navy and airforce how do you start splitting those let alone the nuclear detterent and nuclear powered submarines.

It would be like cutting one leg off a chair.

The single leg would soon fall over and the rest of the chair would be quite rickety too.

There would be no need to live on oatmeal mate. We have very good farmland in Scotland. Cattle which are envied the world over. A thriving Whisky industry. As well as more homegrown products and brands than you can shake a stick at.

ah got it, when the s.n.p stick the price of alcohol up with the minimum price per unit how many scots will travel to the supermarkets south of the new border to stock up (lost revenue) but they,ll get hammered on the return journey by the customs manning the new borders lol

I don't think they should be split. They are all part of the British Army. If they want an army they should start again as with the air force and navy

It's no use trying to hide it behind all that clever rhetoric. We know you've got THOUSANDS of fat 'Aggises up there too.
