They stopped messing about within 5 mins and I was on my way.

Really weird!
Any water on or around LSM or BCU?

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Have you tried a new brake switch from Rimmer's? Don't know if you could try a known working switch from another car?

Mines the one with front and rear fog lamp switches, dashboard light dimmer, and headlight height adjustment.
Number 13 on the Rimmers site.

Richard the one in the link below then, have you removed it and checked for water damage or damp on it yet?

Yes! That looks like mine!
No, I've not removed it yet.

A job for later!

How does the light switch come out please?

I was expecting to see a little slot at either the top or the bottom of the surround like on my ZS which I would carefully insert a small screwdriver, release the clip and withdraw. But, I cant see anything like that and don't want to damage my dashboard by doing it wrong!!

Any help please would be appreciated!

Richard

Hi, if you have a look at
https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...e+light+switch

it becomes a lot clearer. Not saying it is the problem as mine were constantly on with key at position II. If you can try a known working switch it would either confirm or rule it out.
Good luck!

Thanks Bigblue.

That's a scary job, not something I am able to do at the moment with my glass back worst luck.

I don't suppose anyone would be willing to give me a hand in exchange for beer tokens?
I have bought a brake light switch, its made by FAE which I believe is an O.E. spec one.
