OEM are expected to leak a little which is why they have drains. They are made to pass through the hole in the roof, so cannot make a perfect seal.

After market ones have to be designed to form a complete seal and in time can leak, but as they have no drains

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I remember having a sunroof fitted to my Colt Galant turbo, back in 1986. Was operated manually -so easy! - and iirc, cost around £250. Now£1500? Wow!

Inflation is a bugbear! I just wish the same inflation was applied to my salary since then!

Default Prewiring

I think at that price I'll either open the windows or use the air con. Pity though

my 2005 diesel 75 has an after market sunroof, webasto i think the same brand as the factory fitted ones although slightly different.
It has drains as well.
I think the big issue is the headlining as it needs to be modified alot with aftermarket ones.
id look for a car being broken and get the headlining and sunroof from it.

The steel roof pressing is different for the OEM sunroof I think, its not just a hole as when and after market one is fitted. Which is why the entire roof panel has been transferred, when an OEM one fitted.
