Anyone beat 7 med appointments in 1 month?
In July, I was inundated with 7 appointments, actually over just three weeks, never been as busy with such appointments. MRI kidney scan, hospital consultants, eye screening, blood tests, doctor's phone calls to me.
Even a referral where neither I nor the local consultant knew why I had been referred. A renal (kidney) consultant, referred me about an oesophagus bleed problem I had 12 months ago, where there had been no issues since then. The renal consultant hadn't mentioned making such an appointment face to face, or in their follow up letter - The first I knew about it was a text message saying there was an available appointment two days hence, if I wanted to accept it. No explanation of what the appointment was for, at all and no obvious way to contact the sender - weird. I did eventually manage to ring them and agreed to an appointment for last Wednesday, to at least try to get to the bottom of it, but neither they nor I are any the wiser.
