Cool I cannot wait to get back to ..........................

.................................................. ... Saltash. Where has this traffic come from?

Found a nice cafe to have a full English with toast and mug of tea for less than £7. Filled me up a treat. Not bothered about the rain. But the amount of cars with no lights on is amazing. And as for the kamikarzi pedestrian's, running across the roads with their brollies covering there faces and still with there phones in there hands.

Dropped to see a friend who has a very successful photographic business, I've done some commission work for him over the years. He's wanting to retire so is selling the various bits of camera stuff off along with some absolutely stunning pictures. But most of what he is selling is way out of my price range but I did pick up a few bits that I can use. We had a long chat about various issues, putting the world to rights.

I left him and drove over to Barkingside as I had luncheon date with with a couple of old neighbour's, yet another visit to the New Fairlop Oak, my old local Wetherspoon pub. Had a lovely chat. Then I was off again to meet up with Brad, my neighbour who lived downstairs to me at the flat. More coffee and cake, gosh I'll not be able to walk soon. And I still had a dinner date yet to contend with the lady who used to let me park my car/s in her front garden. I can see it might be time to have a light salad.

Left Brad, collected Jan and where did we go? Yup! Back to the New Fairlop Oak where I had a Beef Madras curry, garlic naan bread and a soda n lime. Jan had the veggie curry and a glass of wine. We had lots to talk about plus photo's, mainly mine, to be looked at. The time was whizzing by and it was soon 9pm. Where had the day gone?
So I dropped Jan off and I drove back to Michaels.

Another long day tomorrow with a trip round the M25-M11 and onto the A120 towards Earls Colne to see a certain young lady.

And we have news about my flat, the money will be in my greasy mitts by the end of the month.

I was upstairs in my office on Wednesday and happened to glance out of the window, only to see you Bob outside with Redfive and having what looked like it might be an expensive discussion with a traffic warden! As you've not mentioned it I hope all was well. Anyway, Redfive certainly looked the business...

I was collecting my prescription. I then pointed out to that nice(!) man that I had a forward and rear dash cams and that would prove that I had been on a single yellow line for less than 9 minutes.
Although he had printed out the ticket he said I could appeal by sending a copy of the receipt re my prescription plus if I was to send a copy of the dash am footage showing the date and time of me parking he was sure that I would be excused.

And that is what I have done. Sent a USB copy of the dash cam footage which shows I was actually parked up for 8 minutes. I wait the outcome.

Cool Had a grand day with my.........................

................................................. Lovely god daughter Kirra. Along with her brother Domonic we played games, ate pizza's, munched on sticky chocolate chip cookies and drank lots of juice.
I'm now stuffed, tired and my bladder has gone into hyper drive. But oh! Boy have I enjoyed the day.

I bought some beautiful peach coloured Rose's for Kirra's mum Shelley, took beer for dad Mike and a few sweets for the Rugrats. It's roughly a 70 mile drive to their place from Michaels and Redfive hummed along ok. But I'm suspecting that the clutch maybe slipping, another job along with the top mounts to be sorted out.

I cannot believe the amount of new houses being built that is being carried out on the outskirts of both Braintree and Halstead. More traffic for the narrow roads to cope with. And what about the infrastructure of doctors and schools. Don't suppose they will be cheap either, no chance of youngsters getting on the property market.
Saw a stunning Alvis TD41 in that light metallic Blue they done them in. And it was on chrome wire wheels. Driven by a elderly chap. He acknowledged my wave.

So far Redfive has travelled over 500 miles on one tankful, but I topped it up this evening. As we have to go to Enfield then Waltham Cross to collect two passengers before driving up to the Shuttleworth Ollection close to Biggleswade. Then naturally enough the return journey back.
Be another late night. I might have to leave Redfive across the road somewhere as reversing onto the drive is a pain in a narrow road that Michael lives in. The neighbour's are not exactly helpful in leaving a lot of room.

Thanks for the kind comments.
