Sounds like you need a quick T4 session to recode them to the car.

I could do with a couple of cases myself. Both keys for the 1.8T had been chewed by the previous owner's dog when it was a pup. I got a flip key when they were available, its behaving itself despite Brian's warnings!
I managed to source another for the 260, got the blade cut then discovered the immobiliser bezel on the 260 is deeper, key won't go far enough in. Really chuffed when people made me aware of that, after the event! Last edited by stevestrat; 11th March 2016 at 10:04.. |

Shame you aren't nearer Thomas as we both know a very nice man with a t4 who would happily recode them both for you. I know Brian has helped one or two out with codes.
Isn't Exeter road garages your nearest t4 person in Newton abbot? |

if the remotes worked previously then they may just need re syncing to the car,but if the fobs internal circut boards were from another car but have had a new blade cut and new chips coded it will start and run your but will not allow the remote part to open doors etc until it is coded the the car BCU.
To do this you need the keys barcodes. if you do not have those you can remove the keys circuit board out of the key, there should be a sticker with a bunch of numbers and letters (6?). If you provide Marinabrian (forum member) with those numbers and ask nicely he may be able to give you the barcode for that key. Still need a T4 session to code it to the car. |
