mines completly wrong,i can count on one hand how many people have my surname in the uk and my whole family were from the uk before anyone asks

It was accurate back to 13th for my grandfather's name not surprising as the name arrived with the conqueror as did surnames,. But those with Celtic or Gaelic roots did not have surnames in same manner.
Most AS names seem to be place or occupation based, those in the danelaw would mostly have Scandinavian roots. But we should remember time and language changes means many differ from the original. It was a bit of fun and reasonably accurate we tend to forget that most peoples ancestors did not go farther than 10 miles in their life except for service in time of war, the industries revolution wrought enormous changes and emigration even more virtually all of our names are found in most English speaking nations though thankfully the term junior hasn't caught on back in the mother country! |

Doesn't seem to work with my name, just freezes with the spinning thing in the centre of the screen.
It is a fairly rare surname though. |
