Well done, glad somebody took the risk and hopefully now will see a reward for it

Well done Pete, good luck with finding a cheaper source. I'm sure with quantity the price will drop quite significantly.

Well done Pete. I'm still considering whether I should get mine delined (the one on my launch car) or if I would go the more expensive way with a new screen, now that you've had proof these chinese ones fit our cars (I would have been surprised if they didn't).

Good job Pete.
Nice to see everything works as planned. I'm sure you will get business from the members that have nice cars that are long term keepers. Good luck

I'm interested yes but not at that price, I can't justify spending that much money on the screen.

I am hoping to get the price down, this is virtually the cost to me...

Fantastic result - thanks for taking a punt on this.
The price is a little steep (I know this isn't your end) so if you find a supplier who can get the price down then I think you'll be onto a winner.

So these will need fixing or repairing at some stage.

If buying 2 of the units was £265 or £137.50 each, do you have an idea of how low could you get the supply cost if buying e.g. 30 of them, either from the same supplier or a different one? Just wondering whether it would be possible to put together a sort of group buy, similar to what Mat did with the rear upper suspension arms. You could ask for expressions of interest first, then assuming you get enough to justify taking it further you could enable members to send you an upfront payment on the understanding that it would be refundable if the order didn't go ahead. This would avoid the situation of you having to take on a big outlay and a big risk upfront.
Reaching say 95% of the supply cost in advance for the 30 units (or whatever number you deem appropriate) should enable you to place a bulk order. On the other hand, if it turned out that not enough upfront payments came through within e.g. 8 weeks (or whatever period you think reasonable & practical), you could always return the money to the people who'd paid it, incurring no loss to any individual including yourself. This of course assumes that you'd be happy to undertake such an exercise in the first place! Just thinking out loud ...
